Bill Analysis

SB 930 would stipulate that certain information about residents of specific nursing homes, continuing care, or assisted living facilities, unless made confidential by another law, is subject to disclosure to state and local health agencies under the Texas Public Information Act.

The information would include the name and location of a facility in which residents have been diagnosed with a communicable disease or the number of residents in the facility who have been diagnosed with a communicable disease.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action remains neutral as SB 930 does not directly apply to our liberty principles.
