Bill Analysis

SB 802 requires, among other things, that before an abortion is performed, except during an emergency, the physician who is to perform the abortion shall confirm the pregnant woman received a pre-abortion resource access assistance offer in addition to consent requirements.

Vote Recommendation Notes

SB 802 deals with what we view as a primarily social issue. Texas Action does not make vote recommendations on social issues. For this reason we remain neutral on SB 802.
