Bill Analysis

SB 484 would allow members of the Texas military forces on active duty, state training duty, or other forms of duty at the governors request to retain private legal counsel and file suit against persons who violate the benefits or protections offered to military personnel under The Service members Civil Relief Act and the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act and to be awarded compensation for damages and attorney's fees.
