Bill Caption

Relating to the posting of certain project information at a commercial building construction site.

Fiscal Notes

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Bill Analysis

SB 291 would require developers of commercial building projects to visibly post the name and contact information of the developer, and a brief description of the project at the entrance to the construction site.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action opposes SB 291 as it is an unnecessary government intervention in private business and violates our principle of limited government. Most commercial developers already place signs at construction sites displaying their name and contact information as a form of advertising to promote themselves and drum up new business.
