Estimated Two­year Net Impact to General Revenue Related Funds for SB1606, Committee Report 1st House, Substituted : a negative impact of ($323,888) through the biennium ending August 31, 2023.

The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions of the bill.


Bill Analysis

SB 1606 would create the Texas Grid Security Commission and stipulate the makeup of the commission as well as its duties.  The bill would also allow the commission to create sub-groups or teams to address each hazard to the ERCOT region electrical grid as needed.
