Bill Caption

Relating to the establishment and administration of the Texas Woman’s University System.

Fiscal Notes

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Bill Analysis

Currently, Texas Woman's University is based in Denton with satellite campuses in Dallas and Houston.

SB 1126 would update Texas Woman’s University to become a university system with three separate institutions; Texas Women's University, Texas Woman's University at Dallas, and Texas Woman's University at Houston. Each campus in the system would be governed by the same board of regents.

Vote Recommendation Notes

SB 1126 does not weigh on our liberty principles, therefore Texas Action remains neutral.
