Bill Caption

Relating to the applicability of provisions entitling certain lessees to receive a copy of a notice of appraised value delivered to a property owner by the chief appraiser of an appraisal district.

Fiscal Notes

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Bill Analysis

SB 1088 would amend the Tax Code to state that only an owner of real property would be required to send certain appraisal notices to the leasee of certain leased property, thereby exempting owners of personal property from this notice requirement.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action supports SB 1088 which would eliminate some notices that are currently required by law but entirely unnecessary.
