Bill Analysis

HB 962 would increase the required hours of behind-the-wheel instruction for driver training to 50 hours. This would be an increase from the current 30 hour requirement. 

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action opposes HB 962 which would infringe on limited government and individual liberty principles by increasing the barriers to getting a drivers license.
