Bill Analysis

HB 643 would require a life insurance company to disclose the beneficiary of the an insured's life insurance policy to the funeral director of an insured's funeral upon the funeral director's request if the funeral director has written consent from the decedent's heir, heir's representative or decedent's representative.

This bill would only apply to certain types of life insurance policies with a maximum death benefit of $15,000 issued in this state.
