Bill Analysis

HB 463 would prohibit convicted felons from serving as poll watchers. It would also render anyone who has been convicted of an election-related offense ineligible to serve as poll watcher.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action supports HB 463 which is consistent with the principle of limited government. Preventing convicted felons and individuals with election-related offenses from becoming poll watchers would help protect the integrity of Texas elections.
