Bill Analysis

HB 4295 would allow a medical examiner to release a copy of an autopsy report of a deceased person to any recognized organ and tissue procurement organization that treated the deceased person before death or procured any anatomical gift from the body of the deceased person. Such a report would be considered confidential and not subject to disclosure under the Texas Public Information Act.
