Bill Analysis

HB 3908 would remove a provision of law stating that the appointment of a deputy clerk to a statutory probate court in Bexar County takes effect when it is confirmed by the judge of the court. The bill would also strike a provision of statute stipulating that such a deputy clerk is entitled to receive an annual salary set by the judge in an amount that does not exceed the amount paid the deputies of the county courts at law of Bexar County. The salary shall be paid in equal monthly installments as provided by law for the payment of salaries of deputy clerks.
