Bill Analysis

HB 3442 would require that a copy of a complaint filed with the State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners against a license holder be provided to the license holder. Additionally, the State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners would be required to provide to a complainant a copy of any response made by a license holder who is the subject of the complaint. Complaints initiated by the State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners would be exempt from these requirements.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action supports HB 3442 which would uplift our individual liberty and limited government principles by providing some modicum of due process for licenced veterinarians who are the subject of a complaint.
