Bill Analysis

HB 3303 would prohibit an election official of the state or of a political subdivision from creating, altering or suspending any voting standard, practice, or procedure in a manner not expressly authorized by existing law.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action supports HB 3303 because it espouses the limited government and individual liberty principles by protecting Texas elections.  The bill would increase the security of Texas elections by preventing any election official from altering election practices or procedures on their own initiative.
