Bill Analysis

HB 2742 would require the Comprehensive Reentry and Reintegration Plan maintained by the Department of Criminal Justice to require programs to begin as soon as possible after an offender is taken into their custody. It would expand the programs offered to offenders, requiring them to provide offenders with the development of prosocial behavior and positive relationships generally. The programs would also have to provide offenders with spiritual guidance if they request it.
