Bill Analysis

HB 2728 would designate January 27 as International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Vote Recommendation Notes

The Holocaust was a horrific event in world history and many of its survivors remain with us today. It is right for Texans to remember and reflect, and to renew our commitment to vigilantly guard against such an event happening again. With that said, there is not a liberty principle connection to setting a particular date for remembrance, therefore Texas Action remains neutral on HB 2728.
