Relating to a study by the Public Utility Commission of Texas on the interconnection of electric transmission service facilities with the United Mexican States.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated
HB 2639 would require The Public Utility Commission of Texas to conduct a study of the impacts of existing and possible future interconnections of electric transmission service facilities in Texas with electric transmission service facilities in the United Mexican States. The report must be submitted to the Texas legislature by September 1, 2022.
Texas Action remains neutral on HB 2639 as this bill does not impact our liberty principles.
