Bill Analysis

HB 2375 would replace the limit of $3 per meal when a district court provides jurors in a civil case with meals during their deliberation with any reasonable amount decided upon by the judge.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action is neutral on HB 2375 as it does not touch directly upon any of our Liberty Principles. Providing sufficient meals to jurors performing their duties is within the legitimate authority of a district court.
