Bill Caption

Relating to the issuance of Texas Mobility Fund obligations.

Fiscal Notes

Estimated two-year net impact to General Revenue Related Funds for HB 2219, as engrossed: an impact of $0 through the biennium ending August 31, 2023.

The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions of the bill.

Bill Analysis

HB 2219 would strike a provision from Transportation code prohibiting the Texas Transportation commission from issuing certain obligations.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action opposes HB 2219 because it would grant the Transportation Commission the ability to issue obligations from the Texas Mobility Fund, which they are not currently able to do, increasing the size, scope, and cost of government.
