Relating to including licensed physician assistants in the definition of non-physician mental health professional for purposes of certain provisions applicable to non-physician mental health professionals.

Bill Analysis

H.B. 2093 adds a physician assistant licensed to practice in this state with expertise in psychiatry or currently working in a mental health facility to the list of non-physician mental health professionals in the General Provisions of the Texas Mental Health Code.
