Relating to the allocation of low income housing tax credits.
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 2027 would remove the requirement that the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs provide appropriate housing incentives as determined through the qualified allocation plan to reward applicants who agree to locate the development in a census tract in which there are no other existing developments supported by housing tax credits. The bill states that this act would only take place during the year 2022.
