Bill Caption

Relating to certain public facilities used to provide affordable housing.

Fiscal Notes

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

However, the bill could create an indeterminate revenue gain to the State through the school funding formula by limiting the amount of property that would qualify for future property tax exemptions.

Bill Analysis

HB 1931 would revise requirements for public facility corporations. Among other things, The bill would allow a public facility corporation to finance, own, or operate a multifamily residential development if all applicable provisions are met. The bill would also revise and update the requirements that certain developments must meet in order to qualify for certain tax exemptions.
