Relating to the inclusion of suicide prevention information on
certain student identification cards issued by a public school.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 1754 would require each student identification card issued by a public school to a student in grade six or higher to have printed on the card the telephone number for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and the Crisis Text Line.
The bill would also require student ID cards at institutions of higher education to have these numbers as well as the phone number for campus police or security.
