Relating to benefit review conferences under the Texas workers' compensation system.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 1752 would allow the Division of Worker's Compensation to conduct a benefit review via video conference or, pending good cause, in person. In the event a benefit review is conducted in person it cannot be held more than 75 miles from the claimant’s residence at the time of the injury.
As HB 1752 does not appear to affect our liberty principles so we remain neutral.
