HB 1500 would amend current law to limit the authority of the governor and certain political subdivisions to prohibit or restrict the business or operations of a firearms or ammunition manufacturer, distributor, wholesaler, supplier, retailer, or a sport shooting range, in connection with a disaster and would prevent the suspension or limitation of the sale of explosives or combustibles used as components of firearm ammunition.
Texas Action supports HB 1500 as it bolsters individuals' right to bear arms and limits government intervention.
