Bill Analysis

HB 1379 would increase the requisite minimum percent of income that a business must derive from alcohol sales to be required to post a sign prohibiting firearms from 51% to 60%.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action supports HB 1379 which is consistent with our principles of limited government, individual liberty, and personal responsibility as it would reduce the number of establishments which must by statute prohibit a person from entering with an otherwise lawfully carried firearm or other weapon.
