Bill Analysis

HB 1342 would require the Teacher Retirement System of Texas to provide "de-identified health information, enrollment information, or other relevant information available to the trustee as requested by the entity in connection with a search for alternative health benefit plan coverage for the entity’s employees and the employees’ dependents." The information provided could not include any personally identifying information of the covered individuals that that would be protected from disclosure under HIPPA.
