Relating to a notarized affidavit requesting a municipal animal control authority to manage dangerous dogs and aggressive dogs in the municipality's extraterritorial jurisdiction.

HB 100 would allow municipal animal control authorities to impound violent dogs in the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the city if the authority receives a notarized affidavit signed by at least two residents from different households alleging that dangerous or aggressive dogs have made repeated attacks against people, domestic animals, or livestock and that the presence of the dangerous or aggressive dogs creates an unsafe environment.
An animal control authority would only be able to act on such a request if no other animal control authority is authorized to operate in the area or an animal control authority which does operate does not provide for impoundment or management of dangerous or aggressive dogs.
