Bill Analysis

SB 968 would require a municipality to "to consider an open-enrollment charter school a school district for purposes of zoning, permitting, code compliance, and development." This bill would also prohibit political subdivisions from enacting a prohibition that restricts where a open-enrollment charter school can operate.

Texas Action recommends supporting SB 968 because it promotes our principle of limited government.
