SB 968 would require a municipality to "to consider an open-enrollment charter school a school district for purposes of zoning, permitting, code compliance, and development." This bill would also prohibit political subdivisions from enacting a prohibition that restricts where a open-enrollment charter school can operate.

This bill would prohibit a municipality, county, or other political subdivision from restricting where an open-enrollment charter school can operate, which promotes school choice and fair treatment to charter schools.
