Bill Caption

Relating to authorizing an exemption for open-enrollment charter schools from certain municipal drainage requirements.

Fiscal Notes

According to the Legislative Budget Board, no fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Bill Analysis

SB 674 would clarify existing law which allows municipalities to exempt governmental entities from fees relating to municipal drainage systems. It would explicitly state that public, open-enrollment charter schools are eligible for such exemption.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action remains neutral as it does not affect our liberty principles. While we remain neutral because of the lack of connection to a liberty principle we do note this appears to be sensible public policy.
