Bill Analysis

SB 624 would extend the sunset of the Texas Real Estate Commission for six years as recommended by the sunset commission. It also makes a number of procedural changes to increase the efficiency of the commission including training requirements, compliant procedure, education requirements, restrictions for employees and members, and multiple other changes.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action remains neutral on SB 624 because it does not affect our liberty principles. However, we acknowledge that this bill makes certain changes to increase efficiency.
