According to the Legislative Budget Board, no significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Bill Analysis

SB 601 would continue the responsibilities and functions of the Texas Veterans Commission and provide training manuals for all members of the commission. The bill would also require the commission to evaluate and set priorities for each program, and evaluate claims and make sure there is enough staff to evaluate claims.
