Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action recommends supporting SB 406 because it promotes limited government. SB 406 gives school marshals the liberty to carry their own gun and the option to keep it on their person, promoting individual liberty and school safety. This bill would allow public schools, open enrollment charter schools, private schools, and junior colleges to make storage and carrying determinations for their school marshals based on their specific needs.
