According to the Legislative Budget Board, no significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
SB 395 would remove the timeline requirement for a person with a mental illness to submit original signed copies of reproduced, photocopied, or electronically transmitted paper filed with the county clerk as part of a court proceeding, and provides that a person must maintain possession of the original signed copies, and make them available for inspection, on request of the court. This bill would also require that notice may be given by personal delivery by a constable or county sheriff or in "another manner directed by the court that is reasonably calculated to give actual notice."
