Bill Analysis

SB 300 would require the General Land Office to enter into indefinite quantity contracts with vendors to provide certain services necessary to construct, repair, or rebuild property or infrastructure following a natural disaster. The terms of the contract would be contingent on the availability of funds, the timing of the natural disaster, and the delivery of services to an area declared under law to be a disaster area.

SB 300 would also require the land office to consider and apply any applicable state law and rules of the land office relating to contracting with historically underutilized businesses.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action remains neutral on SB 300 because it does not affect our liberty principles.
