Bill Analysis

SB 2296 would allow the practice of "common paymaster" system for the purposes of allowing two or more related companies to have one common paymaster for all the related companies. The bill would require for the adoption of rules for the oversight and implementation of the common paymaster system.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action supports this legislation which allows an employment practice that is normal in a number of other states and adds convenience in managing payroll for related organizations. We support SB 2296 which is in alignment with the principles of limited government and free markets.
