Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action supports SB 2190 because it advances the principle of limited government. This bill allows for increased flexibility in determining where juvenile offenders may be housed and to make the best use of existing facilities. This may potentially allow some juvenile offenders to be placed in confinement facilities closer to their homes so they may remain in closer contact with their families and support systems.
