Bill Analysis

SB 1755 would clarify that all medical residents and fellows of The University of Texas Health Science Center Houston (UTHealth) receive the same liability protection as all other state employees or faculty, regardless of whether UTHealth residents are paid through The University of Texas System Medical Foundation or directly from UTHealth.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action remains neutral on SB 1755 because it does not affect our liberty principles.
