SB 1738 would require a metropolitan rapid transit authority in the bill author's district to "establish an education and training program on interacting with and supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for employees of the authority who operate vehicles used to provide public transportation services for the authority."

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action remains neutral on SB 1738 as it does not affect our liberty principles. This bill is administrative in nature and is within the government's right to consider given that the bill deals with a public transit authority.
