Relating to the duties of the Texas Water Development Board.
The Legislative Budget Board does not expect any significant fiscal impact to the state.
SB 1574 would remove the requirement that the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) conduct a Water Conservation Study, the requirement for TWDB to meet annually with the Department of Housing and Community Affairs regarding colonia residents, and the requirement that TWDB report certain best management practices in water conservation plans. These are obsolete requirements which are no longer relevant to the TWDB.
