Bill Analysis

SB 1458 would require the Health and Human Services Commission's Office of the Inspector General and HHSC's medical and utilization review appeals unit to comply with the federal coding guidelines adopted by the United States Department of Health and Human Services in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Privacy Act of 1996.
