Bill Analysis

SB 1422 would amend the Special District Local Laws Code to create the Maxwell Municipal Utility District and establish it's powers and duties, including the authority to charge a fee for water. This bill would prohibit the district from exercising the power of eminent domain.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action remains neutral on SB 1422 as it does not affect our liberty principles.
