Bill Analysis

SB 1113 would authorize a municipal or county health department to apply to the Department of Agriculture for a waiver to allow unlicensed employees of a municipality or county to apply pesticides for mosquito control under certain circumstances.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action recommends supporting SB 1113 because it allows for local governments to combat threats to public health without adhering to guidelines that would decrease the amount of local personnel able to assist with applying pesticides.
