The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions of the bill.

Bill Analysis

HB 963 would require the State Board of Education (SBOE) to conduct a review of the essential knowledge and skills of the career and technology curriculum. This bill also requires the SBOE to consolidate technology application courses with career and technology courses and to eliminate duplicative courses.
