Bill Analysis

HB 759 provides confidentiality for certain Department of Family & Protective Services (DFPS) workers by allowing for the removal of their personal information from certain public documents. This information would include the home address, home telephone number, emergency contact information, or social security number of current or former child protective services caseworker or investigator for DFPS, including investigators contracted by DFPS.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action remains neutral on HB 759, although withholding this information which could be used to harass these employees appears to be sound public policy.
