Relating to the notice of rights provided to an injured employee under the Texas workers’ compensation system.
When a workers' compensation claim is filed in Texas, the Office of Injured Employee Counsel is required to send a notice including certain information to a claimant. HB 741 would add a requirement to include in that notice that the employee has the right to choose a treating doctor.
HB 741 does not appear to affect our liberty principles and we remain neutral.
