Bill Analysis

HB 65 would add out-of-school suspensions to reports regarding disciplinary actions. Under current law, school districts are only required to report expulsions and disciplinary alternative education placements. The bill would require the school district to provide, in detail, personal information about the student, the number of days the suspension included and also the reason for the suspension.
