that has been towed or booted.
Fiscal Notes
The Legislative Budget Board does not expect any fiscal implication to the state.
Bill Analysis
HB 625 would extend the period of time in which vehicle owners can submit a request for a court hearing to determine whether there was a probable cause for their vehicle to be towed or booted. Current law allows 14 days for a person to request a hearing. HB 625 would extend this to 60 days exclusive of weekends and legal holidays.
Vote Recommendation Notes
Texas Action supports this bill for promoting the principles of individual liberty and property rights. This bill would give Texans more latitude in responding to the towing and booting of their vehicles.
