Bill Analysis

HB 510 would allow certain counties with jurisdiction over a park to create "reasonable rules" concerning the use of the park, and would allow them to enforce those rules with a Class C misdemeanor penalty. This may include hours of operation, glass bottle use, preserving vegetation, and/or protection of historical monuments, among other things.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action remains neutral on HB 510 because it does not affect our liberty principles.
